Christ came to uplift and empower humans.
He loathed the way other humans raised themselves up as religious dictators. He absolutely hated the oppression of people with man made rules.
He came to lighten our loads and free us from slavery to human domination.
I challenge you to read each Gospel and analyze how many commands of Christ you actually find.
In the entire Bible book of Matthew I found some good advice and guidelines but ONLY Thirteen ACTUAL COMMANDS OF CHRIST!!! I will mention two of the Thirteen below.
1/ To love your enemies and pray for them.
2/ To Make disciples and Baptize them.
Christ gave each and every baptized follower the right to baptize.
In Matthew 28 verses 19 and 20 he told his disciples to Make disciples and Baptize them in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
He then told the disciples to Teach each newly baptized person to Observe ALL the things he had commanded.
Thankfully there are not a huge list of commands.
But one of the very commands he gave is to Make disciples and BAPTIZE.
Jesus thereby conferred authority upon each new disciple to Baptize, be they man or woman. Not only this but he also conferred on each new disciple the right to keep the tradition alive in each new disciple they found.
This right to share good news of inheriting land and position along with the right to baptize is a perpetual one.
Ask yourself these questions:
1/ If I belong to a religion does it respect the authority Christ bestowed on me or does it disempower me and remove the rights Christ gave me?
2/ Does it add a whole bunch of man dictated tradition such as:
A/ Having men decide if new disciples Qualify for baptism or not.
B/ New disciples having to accurately answer scores of questions regarding man made interpretations of the Bible before they “qualify” to be granted approval to obey Christ and get baptized?
C/ Does the new disciple have to affiliate themselves with a Billion dollar corporation where they must obey human religious rulers?
D/ Can the new disciple choose who baptizes them?
E/ Can the new disciple decide when and where they are baptized?
Clearly every single Christian is FULLY AUTHORISED BY THE FOUNDER OF THE FAITH, CHRIST JESUS TO BAPTISE those who believe in Christ. There are no grounds to try and stop any Christian from baptizing someone who wishes to be baptized in obedience to Christ.
If you are extricating yourself from a cult and wish to be baptized with zero affiliation to a religion the good news is that you can ask any Christian to immerse you in water....simply follow Matthew 28 verse 20 by being baptized in the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
YOUR CHRIST- GIVEN RIGHT TO BAPTIZE
